Dress Fittings With Our Seamstress
Fittings and alterations take place in our Worthing boutique, with the first appointment arranged between eight to six weeks ahead of your wedding day. Margaret, a talented independent seamstress, manages all alterations and customisations.
While you can use a seamstress of your choice, we highly recommend Margaret as she has more than 30 years of experience. She specialises in altering designer bridal gowns and is trained in embroidery.
Margaret is an expert when it comes to bespoke customisation and she offers a free consultation at Whyte Weddings to discuss any updates you may require – perhaps adding a touch of sparkle, incorporating lace, or creating sleeves.
She allows for two to three standard fittings at Whyte Weddings, with the first appointment set up for you to bring your wedding shoes into the boutique to enable accurate pinning. Margaret will then carry out any alterations in her home studio ahead of a second fitting. If further tweaks are required, she can arrange a third fitting to ensure your dress is a perfect fit.
Margaret charges a one-off fee of £300- £350 to include all standard fittings. If you require customisation, she will provide a quote for fittings and the creation of additional detail. As Margaret is self employed she requires payment in cash or by cheque.
